Classes and new mini’s
I’ve been working on new mini books for classes at Precious Memories : here are 3 upcoming classes that I’ll be teaching later this month and in March.
And this one I made a long time ago, but its based on a mini album from my book and the class is coming up at the end of February. This is such a fun one to make!
This handsome little fellow was hanging out with me while I was working on class samples, he is quite photogenic I think!
And here’s a few other mini albums that I’ve made the last couple months that I just haven’t taken the time to post photos of yet. All were made for gifts and have been given away already.
remembering…. my forever Valentine
when I think of Valentine’s Day, do I think of the ususal…such as:
flowers?
Chocolate?
Romance?
Gifts?
Nope….nope…..nope…..and nope.
on Valentine’s Day, 10 years ago, my beloved Grandfather died. I remember that day like it was yesterday…how I cried my eyes out as my heart broke. I was 21 and not ready to lose my Grandpa.
Last summer after my grandma passed away, my mum found a note (on the cutest Hello Kitty Stationary) that I had given my grandparents when I was 4 years old. She gave it to me and I filed it away with some photos, totally forgeting about it. A couple days ago I came across it again when I was cleaning up. Funnily enough, I had given it to them on Valentine’s Day, 27 years ago. I noticed when I looked really close at my printing, I could see that my sister had written the words lightly in pencil underneath, so she must have had me write ontop, haha.
The card says: Dear Grandma and Grandpa. Thank you for this writing paper and stickers, fun dip, sucker pen, tape n such. Oh the card. Love chickie Jessica
Lol!! This just makes me laugh. I still love stickers, tape n such. (ha! what was “n such” I wonder!), and still having the sweet tooth I had back then, I even love Fun Dips still. Always a kid a heart. “chickie” was a nickname my grandparents called me.
This photo sits on my bookshelf amongst many mini albums and other family photos. This was my grandpa about a year before he died (holding one of my pet chinchillas).
I miss him lots, but I’m thankful to have many many fond memories of him. He’s my forever Valentine.
A Sweet Surprise
Today was the official launch date of my book and tonight I got the sweetest surprise! My good friend Jodi came over with her daughter Dasha and brought me flowers and champagne to celebrate! It was so awesome to visit with them, and I couldn’t believe Jodi remembered about my book, she’s fantastic! Dasha actually appears in about 4 of the mini albums featured in the book, she’s a great kid.
